Drama trainers and teachers are meeting in Kisumu for the annual national drama workshop organised the Ministry of Education from November 15 to 20, 2015.
The theme of the drama workshop is 'Developing Artistic Talent for National Development.'
The workshop being held at the Tom Mboya Labour College, Kisumu will focus on the place of the child in the Kenya National Drama Festivals.
Other topics will be trends in the Kenya National Drama Festival, new perspectives in the presentation of comedy and citizen participation in security among others.

According to Sirengo Khaemba, the executive secretary of the Kenya Drama Festivals, other facilitators are Nation Media Group’s Public Editor Peter Mwaura who will presents a paper on social and cultural reintegration through mass media and the chairman of the national steering on community policing Mr Joseph Kaguthi.
Mr Kaguthi will talk about citizen participation in security.
Others are drama gurus like Joseph Murungu of Premier School, Sophia Kariuki of Kangubiri Girls High School, Charity Muraguri of Thogoto Teachers College, Dr Ong’ondo of Moi University, Dr Oduke, Xavier Nato, and Toili Khisa of Bungoma High School.
Other sponsors of the workshop include the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC), the National Campaign Against Drug Abuse (Nacada), National AIDS Control Council, National Population and Development and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
