Two other officers from the same post, including a sergeant, were being sought.

The EACC boss said the officers were abetting chang’aa brewing in Miathene Location despite the President’s directive to fight the illicit alcohol menace.

Mr Kanyaru was arrested at Links Bar, just a kilometre from the police post.

The EACC official said the officer, who was taken to the Isiolo Police Station, would be arraigned after investigations are completed.
