Gender Principal Secretary Mabruk Mwanamaka has urged Kenyans to pray for peace ahead of the August 8 polls.

Speaking during interdenominational prayer rally at Elim Church in Mombasa, Ms Mwanamaka said as politicians are busy campaigning Kenyans should pray for peace.

She said Kenyans should focus on national cohesion as politicians traverse the country to drum support for their ambitions.

“It is our mandate to preach peace and protect this country through prayers. We should continue to pray for this country in this season. Peace is not negotiable,” she said.

Redeemed Gospel of Church Bishop Laban Mbela prayed for peace and urged Kenyans to seek God’s guidance.
