Three students arrested in connection with Nakuru school fire

Three students have been arrested in connection with a fire incident that occurred at St Mary’s Genius Girls’ Secondary School in Dundori, Nakuru on Sunday night

The students, who are accused of being involved in the burning down of two dormitories at the school are currently being held at Dundori police post for questioning.

Property of unknown value was reduced to ashes during the 7.30pm inferno at the school owned by the Presbyterian Church.

According to eyewitnesses, locals who responded to the incident could not put out the fire as the the fierce flames grew bigger.

The students were arrested by police officers after preliminary interrogation of their colleagues.

Nakuru North Divisional Police Commander Edward Masibo said police are conducting a thorough investigations before the suspects are charged.
