Rapper Kush Tracey has addressed the rumours that were swirling late last year in December that she was planning on switching back to gospel music. She has been on a media tour promoting her latest single titled Mawe and on the radio show Mambo Mseto, she set the record straight telling host Willy Tuva that was a big fat lie.

“I got saved in high school and if there’s anything I fear it’s God, I started by writing gospel music and if God decides that it’s my time to go back to that I won’t be against it, but for now I’m still here and I’m going to entertain people,” she said.

The Ndulu rapper also revealed that she began drinking before she got into the music business, a result of peer influence.

“I do it occasionally but I don’t overdo it. I control my drinking and it’s just the right amount for the hype. Sometimes it’s because you want to relax, I started drinking in campus because of the influence but I’m glad I never got lost in it. Drinking is not a priority, it’s something I do once in a while, not every day,” said Kush Tracey.
