What you need to know:

  • Another unfortunate fact is that a woman has only so much control with regard to when she gets married and when another human being gets down on one knee to propose.
  • One thing you can do, though, is ditch the neediness. It is not attractive on a woman and a prospective partner will be able to smell it from miles away.

Hi Brenda,

I need help. I am 27 years old, single and childless. I was in a relationship which I ended six months ago when my boyfriend started hitting on my younger sister. My workmates, who are all married, keep pressuring me to find a man and get married. Some are even asking me why I let go of the other one since “all men cheat”. I’m so stressed. Please help!

Lady, you need to calm down. Forty is the new 20, so at 27, you still have ample time to sort your matters of the heart. Unfortunately for you, some of those around you, like your colleagues, still subscribe to the old school of thought so they will keep badgering you with questions. You need to grow a thick skin.

Another unfortunate fact is that a woman has only so much control with regard to when she gets married and when another human being gets down on one knee to propose. One thing you can do, though, is ditch the neediness. It is not attractive on a woman and a prospective partner will be able to smell it from miles away.

I hope you have better luck with your choice of a man next time.
