Disabled children from across the country have received a lifeline following the launch of an outreach project that offers solutions to congenital challenges.
The Help Me Walk project was launched Wednesday by First Lady Margaret Kenyatta at the Anglican Church of Kenya grounds in Kitale.
It will provide medical interventions, including free corrective surgery, rehabilitative care, counselling and provision of mobility devices to children with physical challenges. The project targets children under 18 years.

PARTNERSHIP
The First Lady is the patron of Beyond Zero Campaign that focuses on health issues, especially the welfare of women and children.
The project is a partnership between the Kijabe-based AIC-Cure International, Lotto Foundation and Mediamax, whose media platforms will be used to create awareness on the challenges facing disabled children.
Already, the project has 22 specialised outreach clinics that will be stationed in strategic centres to serve the 47 counties.
Children requiring corrective surgery will be transferred to Kijabe Hospital.
