HR professionals hold three-day congress in Mombasa

Hosted by the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM), the meeting will take place at Pride Inn Beach Resort.

IHRM head of corporate communications Irene Kimacia said participants are Human resource professionals from both the public and the private sector.

She said the discussions will focus on how human resource professionals could equip themselves for the future, technological advancement and automation.

The theme of the congress is: “Honour the past, treasure the present and shape the future.”

SPEAKERS

Public Service Commission chairperson Margaret Kobia is expected to officially open the congress.

Key speakers include South African Siyabonga Nkosi, who is the head of People - Hollard International, South Africa, and Nation Media Group Human Resource director David Kiambi.

Others are Wainaina Gituro, associate professor at the University of Nairobi and Pamela Wayengo, deputy director of Human Resource at Public Service Commission.
