VOTERS

According to the latest statistics by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), Nairobi County has 2,304,386 registered voters and going by the Infotrak poll results, this then it would mean that over 990,885 registered voters in the city would back the Jubilee Party against 921,754 for Nasa.

Meanwhile, the report also revealed that Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko, who is gunning for the governorship seat, is still the favourite for the capital’s senatorial seat if elections are held today.

From the respondents interviewed, Mr Sonko came up first, getting 35.2 per cent of the votes against his closest challenger, nominated MP Johnson Sakaja with 25.9 per cent.

Mr Sakaja recently declared his interest for the seat after dropping his bid for the governor’s seat.
