ODM sets dates for Nyatike, Endebess repeat primaries

ODM party will conduct repeat primary polls in two constituencies on Friday and Saturday following a Court of Appeal ruling.

The Appeal court ordered the party to conduct the nominations within 48 hours.

The party will conduct primaries in Nyatike Constituency in Migori County on Friday.

On Saturday, the party will hold elections in Endebess Constituency, Trans Nzoia County.

In a statement on Thursday, ODM National Elections Board Chairperson Judith Pareno told aspirants to obey party nomination rules and observe law and order during the exercise.

"It is in the interest of the Board and the party in general that the Nyatike issue is resolved once and for all to allow the party to prepare for the campaigns in the constituency.

“The Board issues a stern warning to any aspirant to exercise high level political maturity and that anyone who will be involved in acts of violence will be dealt with in accordance with the provisions of the party constitution," added Ms Pareno.

She announced that the NEB merged polling stations saying the Returning Officer will provide a list of the merged centers.
