Public Service Commission shortlists six for position of EACC chairperson

  • In a statement published on its website, the commission says the candidates are scheduled to appear for interviews starting November 17 at Commission House in Nairobi.

  • The position became vacant following the resignation of Philip Kinisu on August 31 after his firm was linked to the loss of Sh791 million at the National Youth Service.

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has shortlisted six candidates for the position of Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) chairperson, the body has announced on its website.

They are Willian Kirwa, Philemon Mwaisaka, retired Archbishop Eliud Wabukala, Peter Ondieki, Rose Osoro and Erastus Rweria.

In a statement on its website, the PSC says the candidates are scheduled to appear for interviews starting November 17 at Commission House in Nairobi.

It says: “The Commission invites interested members of the public to submit any representations by written statement on oath (affidavits), that they may have on the suitability of any of the above candidates. Such information should be received at the Commission on or before 15th November, 2016”.
