Leaders Gor Mahia face belligerent Kariobangi Sharks on Tuesday at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu aiming for three of the four points they require in order to secure this season’s SportPesa Premier League crown.

The 15-time champions will also be keen to put behind last weekend’s 1-0 defeat to Mathare United that slowed their march to the crown.

Right back Karim Nizigiyimana limped off during the match with an ankle injury in the second minute, and is likely to sit out Tuesday's match.

Against the slum boys, K’Ogalo put on a shoddy performance, which saw coach Dylan Kerr record his first defeat since he was employed at the club three months ago.

“It is unfortunate that during training I see a lot of vibe and enthusiasm from the players, but when it gets to the actual game I see none of that. That is not how I like to play and it has to change. We have to create more chances on Tuesday and put in some good effort in the match,” he said.

Kerr tackles a Sharks side that has not won any of its last four games, and who are looking for a morale boosting result as they prepare to face AFC Leopards in the GOtv final this weekend.

Striker Masoud Juma has been a thorn in the flesh of many teams' defenders in as far as the second leg of the season is concerned, and is currently ranked joint third on the top scorers’ chats with 10 goals.

“We are facing a very difficult situation where we are playing so many games within a short period. We have been playing three games in a week for the last one month and that has taken a toll on the players.

“I have been rotating the squad, giving the fringe players a chance to play but it has not been easy. I just hope that the boys will be able to beat fatigue and play well against Gor Mahia, Sharks coach William Muluya said.

AFC Leopards will also be in Nakuru to play Ulinzi Stars, hoping to record a comeback after last weekend’s embarrassing 2-0 loss to Posta Rangers.
