Fire sweeps through Kisumu's Pipeline estate

Two people were injured and property on unknown value destroyed after fire swept through Pipeline estate in Kisumu.
Juma Omari, a witness said a car that was transporting what they suspect to be petroleum burst into flames at around 4pm before spreading to structures near it.
The whereabouts of occupants of the car, which was reduced to ashes remains unknown as residents say they jumped out of the vehicle and ran away.
Kisumu County Commander John Kamau said a man was injured after he attempted to salvage his property from a burning shop.
Mr Kamau said investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
