Three people on a motorcycle killed in crash

Three people riding on a motorcycle were killed on Saturday evening following a fatal accident at Nyosia area along the Kisii-Keroka highway.

Among the dead is a man and his wife who had come from a church service at Getiongo SDA Church and were headed to Keboba Village to condole with the family of their dead niece.

ACCIDENT

Keroka Traffic Base Commander Iltabul Kochale said the third fatality is the boda boda rider.

Mr Kochale said a vehicle hit the motorcycle and fled the scene.

Eye witnesses said the accident occurred just after a bump, which had been erected recently.

Mr Zebedeoh Oikoro said: “What we have witnessed today is horrible. I saw it happen. The vehicle appeared to have lost control and hit the motorbike. The three were thrown into the air on impact.”

Mr George Makori said the newly carpeted road is smooth and many motorists speed on it.
