He added that Mr Uhuru Kenyatta was validly elected President of Kenya and sworn in.

“You cannot defile the Constitution and expect the same Constitution to protect you," said Mr Kinyanjui.

"President Kenyatta was validly elected and sworn in. He has all constitutional powers. Anyone breaking the law and endangering the peace of the country should face the full force of the law."

Governor Kinyanjui spoke on Saturday Tayari Farm in Molo during the burial of Mrs Loise Wanjiku Kiragu, mother of County Secretary Benjamin Njoroge.

Nakuru Woman Representative Liza Chelule and Molo MP Francis Kimani were also at the burial.

ROADS

Ms Chelule praised Governor Kinyanjui for initiating the Boresha Barabara programme aimed at upgrading roads.

She said that under the project, impassable roads in most rural parts of the county have been rehabilitated.

Governor Kinyanjui said the project is crucial as it is opening up roads to enable farmers easily access markets.

Mr Kimani complained that the construction of Kibunja-Molo had stalled.

The county boss put on notice contractors who have not completed roads within the stipulated time.

Mr Kinyanjui said delay in road works affects residents, especially traders transporting goods to markets.
