Jimwat recovery marks his return to business

It is official, Jimwat is now well and ready to get back to the business of making music.

The artiste had suffered a setback after his involvement in a road accident that put him out of business for nearly six months.

The accident that occurred October last year along Thika Highway left the artiste with multiple fractures, an ordeal that nearly threatened his music career.

This has seen him attend therapy sessions to restore his mobility since his discharge from hospital earlier this year.

As he recuperated, he kept busy in the studio trying to get back his form and has collaborated with several other artistes.

He adds that he has had a chance to work with other artistes including Mejja.

“I wont reveal much about the songs but I want to assure my fans that by mid April they will have started enjoying my new hits,” he says.

Jimwat whose real name is James Wathigo Mburu, is famous for his hits ‘under 18’, ‘Sitoi Kitu Kidogo’and others, assures his fans that this time around his music will be full of positive messages.

The baby-faced musician says that this has been a period that has given him a new perspective of life. The accident caused him to pause and reflect and has influenced his decision to use music to reach out to the society through positive messages.

Jimwat has won awards for his music most notably the Favourite New Artist in the 2006 Chaguo la Teeniz awards.
