  • The singing trio is expected to be at Diamond Plaza II this February, Friday 15, in what could turn out to be a vocal musical avalanche.

A dream comes true for the young and young at heart, and also for those who love the musical beat of our times, as the rising stars of the world of Indian music step on our stage.

Ranee Productions, living up to its majestic reputation of bringing our way unique entertainment, has signed up musical Crown Prince Salman Ali, winner of the tenth season of the prestigious "Indian Idol" show and runners-up Neelanjana Ray and Nitin Kumar to rock Nairobians.

The singing trio is expected to be at Diamond Plaza II this February, Friday 15, in what could turn out to be a vocal musical avalanche.

"Indian Idol" has been aired by Sony Television since 2004, on the pop idol format, and the tenth season judges together with the audience voted Salman Ali as the winner for his weaving the magic of his voice in any given genre of music, be it Sufi, rock or Bollywood.

The young vocalist has a humble music-oriented background and earned fame and recognition through Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil champions where he was a runner up. Neelanjana Ray, who was declared the second runners up Indian Idol is merely 15 years of age with a captivating silky voice that is often compared with the legendary Lata Mangeshkar. She too had initially made her mark in the Voice of India Kids season.

Nitin Kumar, the third runners up, completes the mesmerising young trio. His speciality is Sufiana and devotional songs which he spices up with rare renditions.

The trio has had very successful shows after they were declared winners and I understand why their performances have been applauded.
