Life in the Single Lane

The flier for Life in the Single Lane.

What you need to know:

  • Patricia Kihoro's newest project is Life in The Single Lane.
  • This is a musical narrative that rings truthfully of the struggles of being, young, single and attractive in Nairobi - a part which Patricia Kihoro, who already has several acting notches in her belt, plays well.
  • Jason Nganga, who plays off Miss Kihoro, also does a stellar job at demonstrating what the typical male psyche acts like.

Patricia Kihoro's newest project is Life in The Single Lane.

This project is produced by Wholesome Entertainment.

This is a musical narrative that rings truthfully of the struggles of being, young, single and attractive in Nairobi - a part which Patricia Kihoro, who already has several acting notches in her belt, plays well.

Coupled with her versatile voice and a witty, amusing script, Life in the Single Lane was a life to laugh at and enjoy.

There were happy times, there were sad times, but they were all good times.

Though this narrative had been staged before, I suppose public demand brought it back to the stage.

There is something both lightly delightful and deeply though-provoking about this narrative.

Important questions are explored here, like roles of gender (who is supposed to call first? And are you grown up enough to not care who it is?) in a relationship.

The several men she goes through also provide pithy insight into the different people on the playing field today; the church boy, the best friend, the broke artist, the married guy...all things most women can relate with.

Jason Nganga, who plays off Miss Kihoro, also does a stellar job at demonstrating what the typical male psyche acts like.

On the flip side, the desperate woman, the aloof woman and the independent woman are all portrayed in equally compelling measure.

I can only hope that this interpretation of life and love will come back yet again for another moving encore.
