Gospel artistes and pastors pay tribute to Bishop Ben Bahati

Artists and pastors paid tribute to Bishop Ben Bahati death on Monday evening has left many artists and pastors in the gospel industry devastated.

The Bishop, who was in intensive care for months after an accident along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway, was remembered for mentoring many gospel artists along with his evangelical work at Eldoret’s Global Field Evangelism.

Bishop Bahati was also a gospel artist with one of his famous hits being “Nimetambua” that featured Rufftone and Daddy Owen.

Gospel artist Daddy Owen paid tribute to Bishop Bahati and posted on his twitter account: “Just lost a father, a mentor... RIP.”

Singer Kambua also posted on her twitter account: “#RIP Bishop Ben Bahati.”

Other pastors acknowledged his evangelical work in their tributes.

In a post on Twitter, Pastor Kathy Kiuna said: “Rest In Peace Bishop Ben Bahati... You fought a good fight and you've finished your race. Sooo sad!”

Singer Jaguar also posted a message of condolences saying he was “Saddened by passing of Bishop Ben Bahati. You will always be a part of our lives. #RIPBishopBenBahati.”

Gospel DJ Sammy Moraya a.k.a Mo also posted condolences to the family on his Facebook account.

“My condolences to Bishop Ben Bahati's family. He was good a father, a friend, a mentor and a role model to our generation and those to come. Let’s pray for the family. RIP DAD,” he posted.

The Bishop is survived by his wife Mary Bahati and a 10-year-old daughter.
