Principals and head teachers have been reshuffled in changes made by the Teachers Service Commission ahead of next week’s opening of schools.

In Homa Bay County, some 26 principals have been affected by the reshuffles that take effect immediately. Three have been reappointed as principals after being demoted some years ago.

Long-serving Principal of St Joseph Rapogi in Migori County, Mr Thomas Kogola, has been moved to Ambira High School in Siaya County.

Mr Kogola has been replaced by Mr Maurice Ndolo, the former head at Orero Secondary in Homa Bay.

Mrs Eva Odhiambo has been moved from Sinaga Girls in Siaya County to Ogande Girls in Homa Bay, where she takes over from Mrs Rose Ombewa.

Homa Bay County TSC Director John Kingoo said Mrs Ombewa’s fate was yet to be decided.

Mr Vincent Mayienga of Nyalkinyi Secondary moves to the neighbouring Kuoyo Kochia Secondary, where he takes over from Mr Malaki Okeyo who has been posted to Tom Mboya Secondary in Rusinga Island.

Also affected is Mrs Beatrice Abuor who has been moved from Marindi while Mr Tom Okatch of Odienya Mixed has swapped places with Mr John Ogeke of Kome.
