Maseno University student arraigned for sitting KCSE exams

A Maseno University student was on Friday arraigned for impersonating a KCSE candidate and sitting for the ongoing exams at St Joseph Nyansakia Mixed Secondary School in Bomachoge, Kisii County.

Mr Davis Ongiri was arrested on Thursday night after officials received intelligence that he was a 'fake' candidate.

The suspect had done six examination papers before he was seized and booked at Ogembo Police Station.

Before,

He was charged before Senior Resident Magistrate Margret Nafula with falsifying information that he was a genuine KCSE exam candidate when he knew it was false.

The prosecution asked for more time to allow police to investigate the incident.

Ms Nafula ordered the suspect detained until November 19, when he will return to take a plea.
