What you need to know:
- Stanley Biwott and defending champion Abel Kirui, both from Kapsabet, are among the favourites along with world marathon record holder Dennis Kimetto from Elgeyo-Marakwet County.

Athletes and athletics fans will on Sunday gather in Kapsabet, Nandi County, to follow the live broadcast of the Chicago Marathon where local stars are among the favourites for the title.
Stanley Biwott and defending champion Abel Kirui, both from Kapsabet, are among the favourites along with world marathon record holder Dennis Kimetto from Elgeyo-Marakwet County.
Sunday’s “viewerthon” viewing party — from 12pm at the Stevenice Hotel — is organised by Bank of Africa whose officials will also offer investment and financial advise to athletes and fans.
A similar session was held last month in Eldoret for the Berlin Marathon, following other parties for the Boston and London Marathons in Kapsabet and Iten respectively in April. Sunday’s race will be live on SuperSport 4 from 3pm, Kenyan time.
