- In November last year, the Nock executive committee expanded its secretariat with the creation of four positions in order to professionalise operations and provide improved services to affiliates and stakeholders.
- These positions will be in the areas of Finance, Administration, Projects and Communications.
International sports consultant Robert Mutsauki from Zimbabwe will now spearhead the National Olympic Committee of Kenya (Nock) Strategic Plan for 2019-2024.
Nock acting secretary general Francis Mutuku disclosed Monday that the Olympic body, in liaison with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), has appointed Mutsauki to facilitate the process.
At the same time, Nock has appointed Career Directions Limited as their human resource consultancy firm so as to help them review and recommend a suitable organisational structure at Nock secretariat.
Mutuku said that several firms were invited to make presentations hence Career Directions Limited was picked based on the results of the interview.
Mutuku said that the Strategic Plan for 2019 to 2024 process has started and is scheduled to be completed by the end of March this year. It’s envisaged that the Draft Strategic Plan will be out after a three-day plenary session to discuss the document in February.
Mutuku said that Mutsauki, who was the technical director of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (Anoca), is a sports administrator and a consultant who has worked with IOC.
