Defending champions Gor Mahia's quest to rise to the top of SportPesa Premier League standings failed as they were held to a 1-1 draw by a determined Western Stima on Wednesday at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.

Ernest Wendo got Gor Mahia's opener in the first half, before Vincent Odongo cancelled out the lead midway through second half.
