Harambee Stars coach Sebastien Migne is contemplating calling it quits over his salary arrears.

The 46-year-old Frenchman had served the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) with a “pay up or I quit” notice that was set to expire Wednesday but the ministry worked round the clock to offload his September and October salary.

He is now owed last month’s salary and with 13 days remaining to the end of this month, the ministry will have to burn the midnight oil to pay up the Sh3 million of his reported Sh1.5 million salary.

"It's unfortunate that I've to keep reminding them about my salary and bonus. I should be reserving this energy to prepare the team for the future," Migne told Nation Sport on Wednesday.

"Imagine if we had lost the matches, how will the situation be right now? I am not happy but I will talk to my manager and the president before making a final decision on this situation."

Sports Principal secretary Kirimi Kaberia had on Tuesday said: “We are very happy with how the coach is doing his work very well, we’ve paid and the balance is being processed, there should be no public outcry about this management issue.”

Migne, who signed a three-year deal in May to replace Belgian Paul Put, masterminded two wins and a draw to end the country's 15-year for an Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) appearance.

He beat four-time African champions Ghana 1-0 in September in his first competitive match before he garnered four points against the Walya Antelopes of Ethiopia in a 0-0 (away) and 3-0 (home) in October to move Kenya top of Group “F” with seven points.
