Wallabah Seafront Tables Cafe attends to over 1000 clients daily, attracted to joint's affordability
Wallabah Seafront Tables Cafe is more or less an open air cafe situated along the seafront in Lamu Old Town.
Operating from as early as 6am to as late as 6pm, the eating joint majorly attends to hungry husbands whose wives are unable to wake up early and prepare breakfast.
These men are mainly fishermen, boat operators, cart pushers and operators, loaders, masons and other construction workers, mangrove loggers among others whose jobs require them to rise up earlier each day to hustle.
Wallabah Seafront Tables Cafe Proprietor Mohamed Ali says they attend to over 1000 clients daily, many of whom are attracted to the joint because of its affordability of the delicacies available.
Among the foods available is ginger and black tea, fish, kaimati, maandazi among other swahili dishes.
